Deduction Analyst

What you’ll do?
- Manage and analyze invalid deductions and short payments on invoices paid including promotional discounts, off-invoice discounts, scanbacks/MCBs, logistics charges, etc.
- Work with company’s customers to seek repayment from the customer.
- Recording of invoice payments into accounting system.
- Research invoice discrepancies.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify the source of deduction, and work with internal personnel and/or the customer to prevent recurrence.
- Communicate with sales teams on a regular basis to review program accruals and promotions and outstanding invalid balances.
- Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers.
- Support the accounting and reconciliation of various customer trade programs.
- Analyze and provide data to identify trends for management review.
What Qualifications/skills do you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required (Finance preferred)
- Experience in Sales Customer Management environment preferred
- Strong Software experience
- MS Office products. Excel proficiency is a MUST
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to interact with employees, customers and brokers in a positive and professional manner
- Ability to take ownership over projects
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to calculate and analyze figures
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)
- Experience dealing with Distributors, Retailers and/or Brokers (Preferred)
