Founded in 2015, Automox is a fast growing (>100%+ a year) dynamic SaaS company that is disrupting the status quo by automating and reducing the pain that comes with securing and managing endpoints within the modern enterprise. As Automox matures, we are building an Accounting and Finance team to develop scalable internal solutions as our platform and customer base grows. We are seeking an experienced individual with strong leadership skills and experience scaling a SaaS company.

OVERVIEW

Automox is looking for a Controller who will lead the general accounting function, manage the day-to-day work, provide guidance and leadership to the team, collaborate across the company and oversee the monthly accounting close. In addition, you will ensure the financial control environment is strong, sustainable and supportive of a dynamic and growing business.

THE FUN STUFF

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition.
• Monitors customer account aging and manages internal/external collections processes.
• Hire, lead, manage, and develop a high performing, efficient and productive accounting team.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements through the maintenance of well-organized and structured accounts and records.
• Supervises the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements, insurance coverage and reporting requirements reports and other reports required by government regulation. 
• Provide support and administration for the company’s financial systems, including general ledger, equity management, payment systems, expense reporting and banking 
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Interface with outside auditors, tax professionals and other consultants.
• Coordinate with Finance in developing KPI’s, forecasting, and insights.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• An aptitude and eagerness for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• The ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions of the organization. We’re looking for someone with strategic and operational financial experience who understands the needs of a scaling organization.
• 8+ years in an accounting role with proven experience in a SaaS business.
• Strongly preferred CPA and 3+ years in public accounting. 
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience with advanced accounting systems and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Prior experience in a high growth technology company, including evaluating and implementing proper technology components.
• Proactively review current procedures and make recommendations for improvements with consideration to the key stakeholders in the organization
• Prior experience with implementing operational and financial metrics and controls within a technical business.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP principles and compliance.
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
