This TeamSnapper will provide leadership and coordination of company accounting across all areas of responsibility, providing expert and strategic guidance on all matters impacting the company’s financials and statutory reporting functions. Responsibilities also include managing, motivating and developing the accounting team, leading the company’s annual financial audit and accounting systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive day-to-day management of accounting department, functions, and resources
  • Partner closely with the CFO to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Manage a timely end-to-end monthly closing process including the support of Board reporting
  • Maintain an effective internal control environment and corporate accounting policies
  • Complete sales tax compliance project; implement sales tax management software and develop processes for ongoing compliance.
  • Lead the effective deployment and use of all accounting systems to support accurate reporting. 
  • Fully utilize Sage Intacct system & reporting capabilities.
  • Work with accounting team to review finance processes to continue transforming manual processes into automated, efficient workflows
  • Manage accounting by optimizing the use of technology and building a scalable infrastructure to support the company's future growth. 
  • Lead the team that manages Accounts Payable, Expense Processing, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Accounting and Reporting.
  • Lead the annual financial audit.
  • Support future M&A activity accounting integration and accounting requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to ensure seamless financial support for key initiatives
  • Provide accounting support to financial forecasts and annual planning cycle
  • Monitor and analyze monthly financial accounting results and identify trendsPrepare financial statements and timely support monthly reporting package
  • Manage the preparation of all corporate accounting reports, tax compliance, and investor reporting
  • Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives
  • Serve on cross-functional planning and policy-making committees

What'll set you up for success:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required. MBA is a plus.
  • CPA with 10+ years of leadership experience in an accounting role
  • Experience with private equity and M&A.
  • Prior Controller experience in a tech company of a similar size.
  • Impeccable ethics and strong audit skills across all aspects of accounting and finance.
  • Hands-on approachability to set and maintain the day-to-day tone of the accounting function.
  • A strong presenter and communicator, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • A positive attitude, discretion, and candor; adaptable and flexible.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with all internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to understand all aspects of the organization's business and to convey information to people with varying levels of accounting expertise.
  • Thrives on making a difference in a fast-paced environment and a strong desire to contribute to the growth of the company.
  • Down-to-earth, positive attitude, and excellent team player.
