How You Fit In:

As part of the Financial Crimes Compliance Team of Reserve Trust you will play a critical role in building and overseeing a best-in-class Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program. To be successful in this role, you will be required to think creatively and use your expertise in banking, payments, technology, and BSA/AML regulation to ensure that our program meets and exceeds regulatory requirements, incorporates best practices, and uses data and technology effectively.

 

This role reports to the Senior Director of Financial Crimes and will partner and collaborate with our stakeholders, compliance and risk leaders, and the rest of the organization to ensure we are following necessary regulations across our organization.

 

What You’ll Do:

·         Build and oversee a team that effectively carries out our BSA/AML compliance program.

·         Create a culture of “continuous improvement” that identifies and implements improvements to our BSA/AML compliance program.

·         Think critically about the unique risks of our business and maintain an updated AML/CTF risk assessment.

·         Establish and maintain effective and ongoing KYC/CDD and EDD processes including assessments of the risks posed by each of our customers.

·         Develop and enhance our transaction monitoring systems to identify suspicious and/or fraudulent activity.

·         Expand our abilities for querying and mining of large data sets to discover transaction patterns incorporating predictive and advanced analytic methodologies.

·         Establish and maintain appropriate processes for investigating potentially suspicious and/or fraudulent activity, documenting our findings, and making appropriate recommendations and filings.

·         Communicate regularly with our Risk Committee on BSA/AML compliance program status, examinations, independent reviews, and enhancements.

·         Manage and administer company-wide compliance training programs.

·         Facilitate audits by independent third parties and examinations by our regulators.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in BSA/AML compliance, including governance and operational experience in the financial services space, preferably in the Fintech space

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or relevant working experience

Strong understanding of relevant BSA/AML laws and key banking regulations as well as industry best practices

Professional certification in AML/CTF, such as CAMS or equivalent certification preferred

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $175,000 – 210,000. Reserve Trust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
