The Billing Specialist will handle all billing related activities to ensure that invoices issued to customers are recorded accurately, completely and timely in the financial system. 

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and respond to customer billing inquiries via email and live inbound/outbound phone calls including live over Zoom
  • Customer and internal facing with the ability to process Billing and AR aspects of the business
  • Proficient knowledge of workflow between multiple programs (Zuora, OP, Salesforce)
  • High level account analysis, research, and troubleshooting with technical issues the customer faces on via the billing portal and billing system
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments cross-functionally regarding customer accounts and inquires
  • Review invoices and create manual adjustments, as necessary
  • Process credit and debit adjustments
  • Update billing records with contact information changes
  • Assist with payment posting and reconciling procedures
  • Assist the Collection team to manage customer disputes and payments
  • Assist Revenue/System team in data clean-up projects
  • Identify and escalate issues found in the billing system to engineering for resolution
  • Assist the Billing Manager to evaluate current processes, recommend and implement improvements to improve operational efficiency and successful customer experiences

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or finance experience
  • Experience in Customer Service is preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. excel) – Experience in Zuora and Zendesk is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to handle large volume of details – detailed oriented and multi-tasking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and team setting with other individuals
