Pax8 is looking for a Billing and Collections Specialist to join its stellar finance team. The Billing and Collections Specialist contacts clients and collects on outstanding invoices, maintaining trustful relationships, and ensuring timely payments are made. They bridge the gap between Finance and Sales and contribute directly to our revenue accrual team.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Processing payments, credits, and other billing request for partners via phone and email
• Working with Pax8 sales team on phone calls to assist with complex billing questions
• Actively calling past due partner/customers and jointly developing payment plans
• Coordinating customer account information to the sales team through weekly/monthly reports
• Researching disputed delinquent account balances and fixing misapplied payments

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

• Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge preferred
• Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and willingness to accomplish the team’s goals
• Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload
• Ability to exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as solid management abilities

Required Education & Certifications:

• B.S./B.A. degree in related field; or equivalent work experience 

Compensation

• Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $50,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
