About the Role:
The Assistant Controller reports to the Corporate Controller and is responsible for managing internal and external reporting needs, developing and managing the accounting process across international sales channels, and performing technical accounting research and preparing memos/whitepaper documentation for technical accounting matters affecting the company. This role will have experience collaborating effectively across the organization and will be comfortable navigating complex matters related to the company's business activities. This position will lead and provide financial guidance and support to the Company as we continue our rapid growth.

What you'll be doing:
- Preparation of annual and periodic financial statements and related footnotes, ensuring presentation and disclosures are in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations for technical areas
- Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors
- Oversee complex technical accounting matters, including carrying out research and documentation for a variety of complex and non-standard transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, debt offerings, new product plans, adoption of new standards, and general corporate accounting matters
- Complete purchase accounting and post-acquisition integrations for business combinations
- Support multiple subsidiary financial reportings and perform administrative functions for corporate consolidation processes
- Work cross functionally to improve systems and our control environment to support the company's growth and overall public company-readiness
- Manage international accounting with foreign entities and working with providers
- Assist in establishing international subsidiaries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, 3 years supervisory experience
- CPA required
- Experience working with international subsidiaries and transfer pricing
- Experience reviewing, preparing and reconciling multi-currency, inter company consolidation accounts
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Prior experience in a high growth, technology company is highly desired.
- Comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAP,SEC and other government regulations, including recently issued accounting pronouncements and SEC reporting principles and regulations
- Ability to effectively delegate and manage multiple projects amidst competing priorities
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization and with external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Detail oriented; strong attention to detail
- Track-record of professionalism and integrity
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role is $120,000-$150,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. JumpCloud provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance and 401k benefits. We have an unlimited vacation policy.
Where you’ll be working
All our roles are remote in the U.S. unless otherwise specified. Our Headquarters is in the Denver/Boulder, CO area. Once we reopen our offices you will have the opportunity to remain fully remote (in the U.S.), work from one of our office locations (CO only currently) or flex your time.
