As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Wowza Media Systems, you will assist in the customer invoicing and cash receipts (Quote to cash) process while collaborating with our Accounting, Sales, and Customer Success teams. You will be tasked with continuously improving the process and building scalability as well as providing analytical AR insights and reporting.

What you will be doing

Process customer invoices accurately and timely

Proactively research and resolve billing issues and questions

Assist in applying cash receipts/ credit memos to outstanding invoices when necessary

Lead the termination and reactivation process

Actively pursue delinquent customer accounts

Provide metrics relating to customer billing and account balances

Assist in weekly AR roll forward, being able to point out fluctuations in balances and speak to key drivers of increase and decreases

Prepare monthly reserve analysis as part of month end close processes

Manage “at risk” account list on a weekly basis, noting changes in prior balances

Streamline, automate, and instill best practices in billing and cash receipts process

Mange the threshold billing procedures and escalate as needed to mitigate exposure risk

Skilled at following established priorities; able to evaluate and respond to new situations which require immediate attention

Prepare, record, and file documentation to substantiate account balances

Other duties and projects as needed

What we are looking for

2-4 years of accounting and/or billing experience

Experience with Zuora billing software preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of related education and experience

Strong customer service, data entry, and analytical skills

Ability to adapt to changing processes and to identify areas of process improvement

Capability to perform multiple tasks with changing priorities and to follow through to completion on all assignments

Proficient with software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including the use of VLookup Pivot Tables, and other Excel functions as well as ambition to learn internal systems

Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and building something special
