The HomeAdvisor Accounting team is growing! Due to some changes in how we work with some external vendors, we have a need for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at our Headquarters in the RiNo Arts District in Denver. In this role, you'd have these responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of expenses
• Ensure that payables and paid within company and payment terms guidelines
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Prepare month end journal entries
• Prepare daily reconciliations as needed
• Track and assist in regulatory compliance, including US GAAP and IFRS regulations
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
• Maintains Accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls and policies
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
• Maintains customer and management confidence by keeping financial information confidential
• Assist in internal and external audit process
• Ad hoc analysis and project work as directed by the management
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks

In our team, you'll need to be flexible and collaborative, and we also think you'll need this experience in order to be successful:

• 1-3 years minimum of accounts payable experience
• Associate’s Degree, Accounting/Business degree are all a plus
• Demonstrable basic understanding of and ability to apply US GAAP
• Strong analytical skills and a strong sense or curiosity
• Advanced Excel skills
• Accounting systems experience; NetSuite is a plus
