Job Description
We are hiring a Accounting Manager to join our centralized Property Accounting team in the Denver Tech Center, CO, who will be responsible for:
- Responsible for various data gathering, tracking, and record keeping; preparing of financial schedules, statements, reports and variance analysis.
- Manage accounting and financial analyses in one or more function including auditing, budgeting, cost accounting, general accounting, and program cost control and scheduling.
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of financial records and reports
- Oversight of significant transactions such as property sales, debt financing, acquisitions and redevelopments.
- Managing audit, Sarbanes/Oxley and certain budget requirements.
- Manage the performance of a team of property accountants, holding them accountable for results and coaching them through attainable development plans
- Collaborate among departments to share accounting data and improve efficiencies.
- Apply advanced accounting concepts, theories and principals to develop solutions to problems. Adhere to FASB guidelines and GAAP, company policies and procedures and other regulations in the performance of duties.
- Setting department and staff goals based on overall department or company goals.
- Provide advice as subject matter expert in the development of accounting software and property operating systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting and technical experience; financial management skills a plus
- 2+ years of supervisory experience leading a team of accountants
- Proficient financial system skills with an emphasis on Excel, SmartView, and PeopleSoft
- Superb attention to detail
- Thrives in a complex environment
- Strong people management skills including good listening, performance management, motivating and empowering others
- Demonstrates quality customer service, teamwork, and cultural fit
- CPA certification or CPA exam eligible, strongly preferred

AIR offers attractive total compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance at the individual, team and company levels. We start with a competitive base salary and add bonus opportunities and benefit choices topped off with:
- Expected pay rate of $85,000 - $105,000. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
