TeamSnap is seeking a results-oriented and service-driven Accounting Manager who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in the Finance department, interacting with personnel at all levels of the company while also engaging with customers and vendors routinely. This is both a leadership position responsible for managing the daily activities of the accounting department, as well as a ‘hands-on’ position that will also ‘do’ work beyond reviewing the work product of others.

Some Fun Parts of the Job: 

• Responsibility for day-to-day and month-end general accounting activities, including AR, AP, cash & credit card receipts, GL, payroll, etc.
• Provide guidance/direction on technical accounting matters and the handling of non-routine transactions
• Oversee revenue accounting and compliance with ASC 606
• Flexibility to refine and automate daily / weekly / monthly activities
• Prepare for annual audit and act as liaison with external auditorsImplement and maintain appropriate internal controls and procedures
• Yelling “Wheeeeeeee!” every time you deposit a check
• Work with the entire company to solve challenging problems

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid application of GAAP in a SaaS company
• Public accounting experience a plus.Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required) and a CPA (preferred)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to take initiative to research and learn new accounting concepts
• Passion for fully utilizing software tools - bonus points for experience with Intacct, Zuora, Salesfroce, Xactly and Expensify
• Experience implementing new software applications
• The ability to scale from detailed debits and credits to financial statement analysis
• Extremely detail-oriented and acurate; nothing gets past you
• Seriously, you noticed that we misspelled “accurate’ in the previous bullet point
• Experience managing and interfacing with auditors
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision; highly self-motivated with the ability to produce creative solutions
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to getting to the right answer via personal initiative and teamwork
