Accountant III – Fixed Asset

Perform Fixed Asset Accountant functions and duties related to Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.

What You’ll Do:

• Record newly acquired and capitalized fixed assets and those disposed in JDE / Costpoint.
• Perform revision and update on the detailed schedule of accumulated depreciation and fixed assets.
• Perform Capital Interest calculation and prepare journal entry.
• Interface with Operations FP&A team to ensure efficient transition from CIP to capitalization in JDE/Costpoint.
• Prepare quarterly fixed asset rollforward and provide flux analysis comments.
• Perform periodic Reconciliations of Fixed Asset Accounts to Fixed Asset sub-ledgers.
• Support Finance Digital Transformation Activities as assigned.
• Support PwC and DCAA audit requests.
• Recommend any updates to accounting policies affecting fixed assets.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:

• BS/BA in a related field plus 4 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• CPA, or other relevant certification is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience at an Aerospace and Defense company preferred but not required.
• Prior experience using JDE and/or Costpoint preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $73,500 - $99,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
