POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining daily operations of the facility. The position will support facilities staff by preforming facility maintenance duties such as furniture moves, simple electric projects, spot painting and/or cleaning, light constructions and exterior cleanup. The Facilities Technician will also work with outside contractors on building and equipment repairs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously and will be able to work cross functionally across the company.

 

The Facilities Technician position is a full time day shift opportunity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Ensure that office and scientific equipment is operational and maintained properly; trouble shooting as necessary with in Lab and cGMP environments.
  • Work with landlord on building maintenance.
  • Provide consistent and effective level of support to internal customers.
  • Contact external contractors and service companies as necessary.
  • Escort tradespersons and vendors for repair and/or installation of equipment.
  • On occasion may be required to lift items weighing 50 lbs.
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with ArcherDX HIPAA Security policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information and European Union personal data.
  • Processing and handling of European Union personal data only as directed by ArcherDX for purposes of personalized molecular pathology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project management skills
  • Experience in minor construction and repairs
  • Ability to work with external contractors to ensure the facility and equipment are running efficiently
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of accuracy and neatness

EDUCATION:

  • HS diploma/GED required
  • Previous facilities experience preferred
