    • Create bills of material (BoMs), 2D layouts and 3D CADs of electrical wiring harnesses
    • Support vendor sourcing and vendor management by creating technical information packages for quotation
    • Work closely with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of hardware for vehicle build activities, using tools such as DFMEA and DVP&R
    • Lead release management and program management reviews to communicate, coordinate, and consult with all stakeholders
    • Support vehicle build events, including debugging harness issues and subsequent resolution
    • Manage the cost, mass, and performance attributes for the harness within the provided specifications/requirements

Required qualifications

    • BS in electrical or mechanical engineering
    • Sufficient professional experience with harness delivery and electrical distribution
    • 3+ years of vehicle harness release experience
    • Proven track record of delivery from concept through launch
    • Experience with wire harness design software, such as Mentor Graphics
    • Experience with 2D & 3D CAD software, preferably Catia V5/V6
    • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
    • Strong communication and team-work skills
    • Creative and critical thinking capabilities, along with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously to manage projects
    • Sterling references

Ideal qualifications

    • Experience with development and integration of current harness technology into a large commercial vehicle platform
    • Experience designing wire harnesses in Solidworks
    • Understanding of rapid development cycles and experimental hardware
    • Autonomous vehicle experience
    • Automotive systems design experience
    • Firmware design and implementation background
