Web Development Specialist - Client Facing
Job Summary
Second Phase is a local web development company (awarded 3rd fastest growing company in Boulder County, 2x in last 3 yrs) in the hot B2B Ecommerce space. We are located in west Boulder with boulder creek, hiking and biking trails just outside our doors.
If you like to code but like to interact with clients as well this is the job you have been looking for. Our ideal candidate is a level 1-2 client facing Development Support professional with experience to assist our existing clients' support requests. This person will need to have experience troubleshooting in a variety of coding languages (Java, Javascript, CSS, etc.), love problem solving, and have a desire to interact with customers to educate and inform, solve complex coding issues, and gather information for additional support.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Gather requirements and develop custom solutions using best practices in: HTML, CSS, Java, etc.
- Follow processes and timelines
- Serve as a partner with our customers in the capacity of Level 1-2 development support for our Ecommerce Flag Ship Product
- Quickly become a product expert on the inner and outer workings of our Ecommerce software and associated tools.
- Analyze, escalate, educate and/or resolve client issues quickly
- Document solutions in our knowledge base repository
- Assist with special projects and scheduled maintenance work as needed
- Perform other advanced development duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical under graduate degree
- Minimum of 1-2 years relevant work experience preferably in web development environment, or an equivalent role with hands on support in the software industry
- A strong understanding of the fundamentals of programming and web services
- Experience programming in Javascript, HTML, Java, JSP
- Exposure to Netbeans IDE, is a plus
- Hands on Windows Server/ complete Webstack is a plus
- Ability to adopt to new technologies and frameworks
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, time management, and organization skills
- Ability to fluidly adjust to an ever changing environment with little advanced notice
- A strong work ethic, belief in teamwork, and desire to go the extra mile to assist our clients
