Who we’re looking for…
Bluestaq is on the hunt for a self-starting, ambitious, results-oriented team member who is not afraid to question assumptions or learn a new skill/technology on the job to solve a problem. We are looking for creative individuals with the ability to identify novel and intuitive ways for representing information. You should have several years of experience in developing web applications and are familiar with techniques and libraries for visualizing data within 2D and 3D environments. As a Bluestaq Web Developer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with all levels, from developers to government officials and operational analysts, to develop, design advanced user interfaces.
Web Developers on the Bluestaq team plan and conceptualize user interfaces for enterprise software systems. You’ll have the opportunity to translate UX design wireframes into actual code that empowers our customers to optimize their data-driven cultures. Web developers at Bluestaq take an active role in defining how our applications look, feel, and work. And we’re focused on doing - we keep meetings to a minimum.
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of UI/UX + Web Development Experience building production-grade web applications
- Strong development skills with Angular 5
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Typescript, Bash, etc.)
- Knowledge of applied security concepts (authentication, authorization, protocols)
- Experience with REST-based services and dynamic query parameters
- Hands-on experience with Open API
- Experience with JSON and XML
- Experience with JavaScript libraries for data visualization and 3D visualization such as D3.js, three.js, Cesium or other equivalent libraries
- Proficiency with HTML 5, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, and bootstrap
- Familiarity with GIT
- Experience with build systems (Maven, Gradle)
Education: BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or EE, or relevant industry experience is required.
This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check, provide their Social Security number and allow the investigating government entity to access their tax records. If the clearance process requires a polygraph or drug test, an employee must agree to participate in these required steps.
