Job Description

We are looking for a Back-end Drupal Developer to join our team. Do you know Drupal like the back of your hand? Can you code PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS in your sleep? Do you have a passion for problem solving, and enjoy working closely with a team of dedicated people? If so, you may be the right fit on our Digital Marketing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to use his or her expertise in development as a member of a dynamic team that designs, develops, tests, and maintains the corporate website. We are looking for developers who are not only top coders, but can also communicate effectively across all levels within the company. We hire talented, motivated people and hand them big problems to solve. 

Responsibilities:

  • Back-end development and custom module development for existing Drupal 8 site
  • Work closely with front-end developer to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation
  • Design, document, and develop an overall solution to include capabilities such as analytics, CMS content entry, CMS content migration, developing content types or content objects, site architecture, page templates, and explicit / implicit personalization
  • Help find, debug and fix issues with the corporate website. Develop and implement software testing standards using development and staging environments to ensure quality standards on production site. 
  • Work with APIs, integrating with external web services (REST, XML, JSON) or 3rd party tools
  • Configure Drupal and create custom modules and templates to meet requirements
  • Perform as a trusted contributor requiring little to no supervision and demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines, exceed goals, and create benchmarks for success 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other internal stakeholders to support their effort and ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage and maintain web Acquia web server and GIT repository
  • Architect enterprise solutions, including data, display, information architecture, and migration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience and 5+ years of development experience 
  • Use of Drupal management tools, such as composer, drush, drupal console, etc required
  • A passion for web usability and building awesome experiences
  • Proven experience developing on Drupal 8 and Acquia. Certifications are a plus
  • Experience working with Drupal core modules such as Content Moderation, Content Translation, Local, Views
  • Experience investigating and patching/working around Core issues
  • Experience configuring Drupal and developing custom modules to extend Drupal
  • Experience with multi-lingual Drupal sites is strongly preferred
  • Comfort with owning a project and wearing many hats to get the job done
  • Solid communication skills and ability to convey technical solutions to end-user of all abilities
  • Experience with cloud hosting strongly preferred. Experience with Acquia Cloud including ACE and Lift a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in web technologies including PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and HTML5, Sass, Bootstrap,MySQL/SQL, Git
  • Experience developing and consuming REST web services
  • Proactive, self-driven and enjoys solving complex problems, not just in the primary area of responsibility but across domains
