SwiftComply helps water and wastewater authorities protect public health and the environment by supporting their regulatory programs. We achieve this by connecting regulators, businesses and compliance service providers in an easy-to-use platform that allows them to communicate, collaborate and streamline the compliance process.

Since forming in 2016 we’ve achieved product-market fit, and are growing 100% YoY and $2 million ARR. In advance of our Series A fundraising we are building out our leadership and engineering teams.

We’re headquartered in Dublin, Ireland and our remote team works with over 450 government clients located in five countries. We’re backed by some amazing investors including Thomas Layton (Opentable, Upwork, Metaweb, Citysearch), 415 Investments (Classpass, Acorns) and Techstars Ventures.

We’re seeking a skilled VP of Engineering to join our team. You'll be responsible for establishing our engineering team, defining the technical architecture and work alongside our executive team as we undertake a complete rebuild of our platform.

What you'll do

  • As a key member of the executive leadership team, manage all aspects of the software development life-cycle: software architecture, technical specifications of design, coding, testing and maintenance

  • Build and nurture the software development team to embrace agility, innovation, creativity, quality, and delivery

  • Play a guiding role to ensure our architecture is flexible and scalable for our rapid growth

  • Collaborate with product, and business teams to align business and strategic goals with technology-driven initiatives

What you've done

  • You have experience building and shipping products

  • Technical proficiency in the scaling, security, and performance of software applications

  • Deep experience implementing engineering, management, and process best practices within a rapidly growing team

  • Exceptional empathy and listening skills, as judged by your peers and reports

  • Great track record of growing top-notch engineering teams quickly and mentoring junior engineers and emerging leaders

  • Experience building focused roadmaps and making tough trade-offs, including balancing long-term platform investments and urgent business needs

  • Experience with working within remote teams
