Video System Quality Assurance Engineer
You will join the Video Engineering team as a Video System Quality Assurance Engineer where you are going to evaluate video features and qualities for Zoom's products!
We are seeking a Video System Quality Assurance Engineer to work on our Zoom video product portfolio and provide our customers superior video experiences with quality and stability. You will work on the system level, evaluating software modules across various hardware platforms and cloud components. You will help to maintain and expand the current and emerging Zoom technologies on video products, present and demonstrate your work to team members and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Develop quality measurement methodology and tools for our video conferencing system.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts
Estimate, prioritize, plan, execute and coordinate quality testing activities
Validate functionalities/qualities, generate test report, file bugs and track the progress
Communicate with internal developers and external partners to narrow down the issue's root cause.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Work with product owners for release criteria and schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
BASIC:
Bachelor or Master degree in engineering fields such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
Knowledge of video conferencing.
Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
PREFERRED:
Familiar with video coding standards such as H.264/H.265.
Familiar with deep learning inference framework such as CoreML, Openvino, DirectML.
Hands on Experience with video conferencing system
Familiar with some scripting languages such as Python.
