Who we're looking for...

The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for the coordinated delivery of a suite of high quality applications and systems across cloud, mobile and desktop platforms. The Vice President of Engineering is a gifted engineering and leadership coach, strengthening those around them and inspiring peak performance. This person will act as a cornerstone of the executive leadership team, and will aid BombBomb in delivering on its revenue targets quarter over quarter by consistently delivering software products efficiently and with a high degree of quality.

What you will do...

  • Develop and grow BombBomb’s engineering organization from ~30 to ~100 A-Player Engineers, Testers, Leaders and Operations staff through 2021
  • Continuously refactor and craft an engineering organization best suited to exceeding BombBomb’s business objectives
  • Ensure that the teams have the resources and tools they need to flourish
  • Aid the senior leadership team in honing our strategic and technological roadmaps
  • Lead opportunity and risk-management efforts across BombBomb’s technology efforts
  • Define, track and delivery upon key productivity metrics and continually work towards improving team efficiency and engineering capacity
  • Enhance the company’s reputation as an exceptional organization by maintaining a compelling product offering and working environment
  • Work with QA, Product, and Technical Writers to produce correct and thorough documentation of APIs and user interfaces

    Our ideal candidate will be or have…

  • BS or MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in Kanban Change Leadership
  • 5+ years delivering SaaS software in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
  • 10+ years leading multiple high performance software delivery teams
  • 15+ years developing software applications targeting multiple runtime environments
  • Experience with both NoSQL and RDBMS data stores
