Technician III – Development and Flying Probe
Ball Aerospace seeks an experienced Test Technician to perform many aspects of Flying Probe testing as well as support all aspects of electronics testing.
What You'll Do:
•Set up new test programs on the SPEA 4060 S2 flying probe.
•Improve efficiency of production testing.
•Troubleshoot flying probe test failures.
•Execute end-to-end coverage reporting from the flying probe machine.
•Facilitate a close relationship with Engineering during design, build, and test to provide design feedback.
•Proficient at using test instruments such as DMM's, oscilloscopes, and operating Lab view based GUI software for testing required.
•Execute standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements for electronics hardware testing.
•Prepare for testing activities by configuring the test environment including gathering various test and measurement equipment and verifying compliance with calibration and ESD standards.
•Fabricate test cables and assemble test systems.
•Perform certification of STE/EGSE and perform board level electronic testing using test procedures.
•Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
•Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
•Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need:
•High School diploma or equivalent plus 6 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 4 years or more related experience.
•Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
•Experience in flying probe testing of medium to high complex circuit card assemblies.
•Experience setting up new tool programs for the testing of new products on flying probe, preferably with SPEA 4060 S2.
•Strong background in electronics and ability to analyze schematics.
•Ability to work in a team setting.
•Windows-based PC proficiency.
Working Conditions:
•Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
•Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Relocation for this position is available.
Compensation & Benefits
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $23.56 - $31.73 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
