Data Architect
Workiva is looking for a Technical Solutions Architect to join its Services Platform team. This team is small, agile, highly-collaborative, and data-driven - focused on unlocking efficiency within the Global Client Services organization through the application of advanced technology. We have a wide set of skills including process optimization, data analysis, and engineering, across a diverse mix of domains. We interface with customers, partners, and internal teams to identify complex productivity challenges and implement solutions within and around the Wdesk Platform. The Data Integration Architect will investigate integrations opportunities, participate in strategy discussions for data-driven tasks, translate business requirements into data models, and assist in the design of effective data pipelines and systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Investigating and designing external system integration processes, especially for large scale enterprise infrastructure
- Providing architectural guidance on integrating with multiple systems, both internal and external
- Obtaining and maintaining an in-depth understanding of Workiva's product technology and underlying software architectures, to build innovative data integration solutions
- Acting as a consultant and subject matter expert on data integration for Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure their success
- Designing components, services, and patterns within our microservice-based ecosystem
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assisting in design and maintenance of ETL processes
- Integrating data from multiple sources into cohesive warehouses/pipelines and creating data standards
- Aligning of team data architecture with strategic business objectives
- Collaborating with the team data scientist to support analytics goals

Education and Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in a technical role, plus 3+ years experience with data integration and software or data architecture
- Experience with large-scale enterprise infrastructure utilizing SAP, IBM, Oracle, or a related platform
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (including EC2, Lambda, RDS). Bonus: AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Understanding of SaaS and/or Cloud-based solutions and ecosystems
- Development experience in Java, Scala, or a related language
- Experience implementing ETL processes utilizing iPaaS technologies such as Informatica, Dell Boomi, SnapLogic, or Mulesoft.
- Experience with relational and no-SQL database systems
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, WSDL, and ODATA based web services
