As a Technical Program Manager III, you will lead an integrated product team for the Dream Chaser Cargo System (DCCS) organization. You will be responsible for all programmatic aspects of your assigned product team with specifically focused responsibility for customer relationship, cost, schedule and technical planning, tracking and reporting, technical execution, procurement, production, and deployment to ensure overall program performance objectives are achieved.
You will participate in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other corporate entities and responsible to formulate a team that can fulfill program requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring program risks, issues and opportunities are identified, tracked, and resolved.
You will be responsible for the system level architecture, design, development, decomposition, and verification of the Dream Chaser Cargo System, the requirements to fulfill the CRS-2 contract, as well as any subsequent modifications. These activities are executed by Systems Engineering, Flight Sciences, Test & Certification, and program support personnel as a cross functional team and coordinated with both the Dream Chaser, Cargo Module, Ground Support Systems, and Launch Vehicle IPTs.
You will be responsible for program risk & opportunity management, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed and opportunities are identified, pursued and captured. You'll be responsible for interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints. You will support the VP of Dream Chaser Cargo System directly in fulfilling their responsibilities to the Space Transportation sector of Sierra Space.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $219,216.46

Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM related discipline with minimum 10 years of experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Demonstrated experience with systems engineering, system architecture development, requirements specification, verification & validation, systems analysis, and system modeling.
- Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change and risk management, life cycle program or product management, multi-disciplinary decision making and leading from within a team.
- Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate and empower authority, lead and inspire, drive innovative thinking for success, instill collaboration and transparency, challenge the status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
- Requires skills in time management, cost accounting, schedule reconciliation, team building, conflict resolution, communication and strategic thinking.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in STEM related discipline or business administration
- Experience leading integrated product teams or multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.
- Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
