Do you want to play a role in global commerce?

As the Technical Lead, Leasing & Property Management (LPM) Capabilities, you will serve and guide the team as we further integrate the business into IT initiatives and transition to an Agile methodology.  This person will work with all development teams (i.e. across different technology platforms) that are delivering technology solutions for the LPM capability initiatives.  The Technical Lead will collaborate with other LPM team members to understand business requirements, and is responsible for defining end-to-end technical solution strategies and technical requirement needs.

Additionally, this person will support our Agile transformation by applying Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum, to daily delivery.  You will enable and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and diverse environment through effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership and coaching.  As a key member of the Business Capability Engineering team you will work with global business stakeholders and your LPM team members to understand MVP, MMF, key priorities, and dependencies.

Here’s how to do that:

  • Develop our business capability area technology architecture/road-map by partnering with other technical teams as appropriate (such as the Architecture team, Data & Analytics team, etc.)
  • Translate business needs into high-level technical specifications, and apply technical knowledge to determine end-to-end design requirements for large projects involving multiple line of business, software developers, and vendors
  • Communicate and coordinate end-to-end technical needs/expectations across all delivery teams
  • Identify the best technical solutions to solve existing & new business needs by considering the overall technical landscape/architecture, technical limitations, risks, etc.
  • Lead new technical solution evaluations & provide recommendations to the LPM capability team
  • Describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software solution to project stakeholders
  • Help create & provide sign-off on technical design documentation/specifications according to how the solution is defined, managed, and delivered
  • Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are accurately translated into working technical designs
  • Help analyze data requirements & impacts based on the business requirement (i.e. understanding where data is sourced from, how it is stored, how to pull/surface data so that it aligns to best practices and our overall data strategy, etc.)
  • Participate in technical design sessions and technical code reviews with development teams to ensure best practices are followed and technical debt is minimized
  • Oversee vendor technical teams in the absence of a dedicated in-house team who’s responsible for overseeing that partner
  • Work under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions

Here’s how to do that:

  • Must have 5+ years’ experience as a Lead Software Developer, Software Technical Lead or Solutions Architect
  • Strong technical knowledge of various platform & ETL technologies/tools and processes (see section below for a list of strongly preferred technologies/tools)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile Software Development Life-cycle models & Agile planning tools
  • Proven ability to work well with other technical leader (e.g. other capability technical leads and/or platform technical leads), on-site technical teams, and off-shore technical teams
  • Proven ability to multitask, and effectively manage/prioritize time across competing activities/resources
  • Effective communicator with the ability to succinctly explain technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Ability to understand business terms and concepts and relay that detail to development teams
  • Mentor development teams to continuously broaden their technical capabilities and capacity to manage increasingly complex issues
  • Experience working with any/all of the following technologies/tools is STRONGLY preferred: Salesforce Lightning & Salesforce ecosystem/app-exchange products, Yardi, Yardi Advanced Budget, Peoplesoft, Office365, Informatica, Denodo, AWS, Snowflake, Tableau, Oracle, and OutSystems
  • Previous technical development experience with Angular JS & Java is preferred
