Essential responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Business Development team to pursue new technical partnership and integration opportunities and support all aspects and phases of the Carbon Black Business Development process
  • Evangelize and demonstrate Carbon Blacks products to Security Service Partner via presentations, product demonstrations, and evaluations
  • Excel at adapting technical fit and creatively generating joint-value use cases to integrate with Security Service Partner specific solutions
  • Provide product/API feature input to product management
  • Communicate priority of Carbon Black product feature requests inline with Security Service Partner solution rollout and offering timelines
  • Enable Security Service Partner technical resources
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Security Service Partner technical teams
  • Manage all aspects of Security Service Partner evaluation process including:
    • Properly scope use cases and define evaluation goals driving towards integrations
    • Support installation and configuration of Carbon Black products
    • Deliver value message and evangelize to Security Service Partner
    • Work independently to ensure integration and product issues are resolved in a timely manner and escalate to Carbon Black Technical Support and Engineering team as appropriate
    • Respond to technical objections and create competitive differentiation
    • Assist with formal Request for Information/Proposal efforts
    • Obtain Security Service Partner “buy-in”
       
  • Assist in developing and evolving best practices for BD Technical activities
  • Apprise BD Management of overall health of Security Service Partners (technical, organizational, operational and sponsorship)
  • Present/speak at industry events and tradeshows
  • Work remotely with BD team members and Security Service Partners

Job Role Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Sales Engineering, Technical Business Development, Integrations Engineering, and/or Technical Consulting experience, preferably working with the F1000
  • Must have strong leadership qualities and demonstrated ability working directly with partners to ensure satisfaction
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Willingness and ability to travel. Domestic travel varying from 25-40% will be required
     

Desired Technical Awareness/Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated experience with security solutions and requirements
  • Strong security focused Security Vendor relationships a plus
  • Proven track record showcasing expertise with current Windows, macOS, and RHEL/CentOS endpoint operating systems
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructures, technologies, and best practices
  • Knowledge of APIs, common interfaces and common ways to integrate
  • Direct integrations experience a major plus including ability to code in Python
  • Strong competency in Security and IR Process/Workflow
  • Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, GIAC, ISSEP, ISSMP, CEH, Network+) a plus
  • Understanding of Security Policy, Compliance and Audit
