Job Description

The Software Development Team Lead is responsible for the architecture and technical direction of a software project. In this job, you will also be responsible for the growth and mentoring of other software engineers. You will work closely with product management to understand business needs and guide projects from conception through implementation.

Responsibilities

·       Work across the stack from UI to database

·       Leverage AWS to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions

·       Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the same

·       Document software designs and project tasks

·       Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design

·       Provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction to other team members

·       Design and develop REST APIs and other code that is reliable, maintainable, and extendable

·       Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications

·       Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design

·       Work closely with architecture to define, design and implement system requirements

·       Guide engineering teams in adoption of architectural standards

·       Assist in the preparation of project plans and product roadmaps

·       Lead and participate in design/code reviews

·       Experience with Scrum/Agile SDLC

·       Interview and provide technical assessments of employment candidates

Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline

·       8+ years experience in software development

·       2+ years team lead or management experience
