Alteryx is searching for a Team Lead in our Broomfield, CO office (REMOTE is an option)

Position Overview:

The team’s mission is to enable development teams to deliver high-quality software through framework, tooling, and risk management capabilities. This role will be perfect for you if you have an unwavering passion for, and focus on, polished products, engineering excellence, and productivity. 

Required Skills:

  • Provide leadership to an organizationally distributed team, executing team initiatives and minimizing product quality risk items.

  • Be a servant leader - navigate your team through changes in organizational objectives and shifting priorities.

  • Align your team to support new product features and development initiatives, effectively communicating changes in the team assignments.

  • Deep understanding and commitment to modern software engineering principles/processes (Agile, Lean, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement

  • Facilitate all aspects of talent management including personal development conversations and performance appraisals, identifying mentorship and training opportunities.

  • Construct and share comprehensive status updates throughout the organization and into senior management.

  • Work with QE leadership in the development, implementation, and measurement of quality processes, focused on product test coverage and test automation.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Development Leads, and other internal engineering teams to support the delivery of high-quality software that meets the company release objectives and schedule.

  • Evaluating leading practices across the industry, introducing elements back into Engineering that impact operational excellence.

Valued Skills:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of QE experience with software products and systems.

  • Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail.

  • Proven experience being approachable, trustworthy, and well respected by teammates and peers.

  • Proficiency in capturing, sizing, managing work items with Scrum and/or Kanban

Helpful Skills:

  • Exposure and knowledge of Python

  • Exposure and knowledge of JavaScript

  • Experience using Subversion and/or Git

  • Data analytics experience

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $101,700 to $172,900. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
