Systems Engineer I - Wireless Operations
JOB SCOPE
The Systems Engineer I will be primarily responsible for Wireless Support function within a national scope wireless broadband network environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on improving our customer's service experience in assessing and resolving impairments.
- Apply fundamental knowledge of wireless core, wireless access, infrastructure systems and IP routing coupled with problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve service impairments.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and third parties to restore service availability.
- Aggressively pursue high standards of wireless network performance and availability.
- Create detailed documentation and contribute to the development of processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (STEM) plus experience in Network or Telecom technical support role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IP routing, and routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, and OSPF.
- Demonstrable success problem solving and troubleshooting in a technical support environment, leveraging packet analysis tools and network analytics platforms.
- Adept in use of troubleshooting and support tools [Wireshark, Splunk, CA Spectrum, Remedy, Jira]
- Demonstrated knowledge across all layers of the OSI model.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Wi-Fi systems, components, and specific industry solutions.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience operating carrier grade Wi-Fi services [Controllers, Gateways, AAA, Switches, AP's] on [Ruckus / Cisco / Nokia] equipment.
- Experience supporting Managed Wi-Fi environments: Venues, MDU's, and Hospitality
- Experience with large distributed networks, managed Wi-Fi services, and mobile operator topologies.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- CCNA / CCNP Wireless
- CWNA Certified Wireless Network Administrator
- CNA Wireshark

The pay for this position has a minimum of $59,300.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
