Description

Envysion, a leading provider of video-based SaaS technology solutions for retailers, fast-casual restaurants, and wireless dealers, is looking for a talented System Engineer to help us advance our suite of SaaS products. This is a great opportunity for someone to use their expertise in systems, networks, security, and operations as a member of a dynamic team that designs, develops, tests, and maintains the infrastructure for our products. This position will focus on improving availability and performance within our products. 

Core Functions

Operations:

• Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, system management tools, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues escalated by internal and external customers and internal monitoring systems.
• Help define, organize, and track projects to completion.
• Deploy and monitor modern web applications on a variety of platforms, including Docker, AWS, and NGINX/Apache.
• Identify and resolve performance issues in infrastructure systems.
• Execute security, backup, and system redundancy procedures. Work with team members to review and strengthen policies.
• Maintain and develop continuous delivery processes for development and infrastructure teams.
• Provide basic database troubleshooting and monitoring.
• This position will require support outside of standard business hours to complete system upgrades and application deployments as well as to provide support for emergencies and outages.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS preferred, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, Google Compute or App Engine, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure automation and container frameworks (Docker, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
• Experience working in a 24x7 production environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a systems administration role including experience with UNIX/LINUX administration.
• Ability to quickly triage problems under pressure, determine root cause and drive resolution.
• Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, or other scripting language experience.
• SQL and NoSQL databases experience a plus.
• Desire to learn and continually improve self and others through knowledge sharing.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary

• $100,000.00 - $130,000.00, depending on experience

Corporate Bonus

• Based on corporate and individual objectives; Up to 10% of your Annual Salary, prorated from your start date
