About the team:
Robinhood’s internal Clearing Broker platform is the first independent self-clearing system to be built in ~40 years. It is powered by a multitude of batch and real time services working together. The clearing Infra group builds the fundamental components that power these services. Our team is rapidly growing, and we bridge the gap between clearing and RH infrastructure teams to adapt quickly to new processes and technologies to unlock momentum, reduce risk, and help the business move fast.
What you’ll do day-to-day:
As a member of the Clearing Infra team, your role will be to:
- Transform our platform by introducing big data technologies such as spark etc.
- Own complex technical projects from design to execution stage with emphasis on scalable and long lasting designs.
- Coaching and mentoring junior engineers as well as provide guidance on architecture and design.
- Adopting industry standards and best practices.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience building large scale distributed systems with stringent correctness requirements.
- Have lead technical initiatives end to end coordinating across multiple teams and driving planning/requirements for your team.
- You have experience with container and container orchestration technologies and cloud infrastructure domain.
Bonus points:
- You have a history of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering efficiency.
- You have a passion for mentoring junior engineers and improving the engineering craftsmanship.
Technologies we use:
- Python/Django, Go as the main languages and frameworks of choice.
- PostgreSQL as our primary data store, Redis and Memcached as our caching layer.
- Kafka, Spark, Flink, gRPC, persistent store.
- Deployed using Kubernetes in AWS Cloud.
