Job Description:
The SRE Lab Team is looking for an experienced system administrator to work on our Dev/QA test environments and provide full lifecycle support. The SRE Lab Team is responsible for supporting test environments used by Development, QA and Release teams in creating RingCentral’s world class cloud based unified business communications service, using such technologies as: OracleDB, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, GridGain, Coherence, Java, VMware, AWS (EC2, S3, SNS, SQS etc.), Docker, InfluxDB, Grafana etc. And we do love to automate things here in the Lab Team!
What you will do:
- Support test environments located in datacenters spread all over the world.
- Work with AWS cloud to support test environments.
- Investigate and troubleshoot different kind of issues.
- Perform capacity extension.
- Integrate existing service with new sub-systems.
- Perform configuration management and automate routine processes.
- Work with Operations and Network operations, Developer and QA teams to solve different kind of issues.
Requirements:
- Experience working as System Administrator 2-3 years, e.g. Linux OS: System Administrator level, MS Windows: System Administrator level (AD, GPO, DNS).
- Protocols understanding: HTTP(S), NFS, CIFS, TCP/IP stack.
- Scripting experience: Python, cmd, shell (bash/sh).
- Web-servers administration: IIS, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Jboss; and email-servers administration: dovecot, exim.
- Experience with virtualization systems: VMware vSphere.
- Skills in investigating and troubleshooting of complicated systems/platforms, and identifying key points of failure.
Will be a plus:
- Any experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka administration.
- Experience with SIP, RTP, Asterisk.
- Experience with monitoring systems like Zabbix.
- Experience in configuration management systems: Puppet, Terraform. Experience with version control systems: SVN, git.
- Docker infrastructure administration experience. Experience in working with high load systems
