Position: Sr. Web Developer
At JumpCloud, we’ve built a disruptive new technology called Directory-as-a-Service® and it is reinventing a two decade old monopoly, giving organizations freedom of choice with their IT solutions. Our marketing website plays a critical role in our revenue engine and business growth...from raising awareness through driving account sign-ups to connecting our free and paid customers with resources they need to be successful with our product. 
We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to carry us forward with our website modernization project, back-office system replacements, and growth initiatives. If you’re looking for a challenging role where you can have an outsized impact on the customer experience and business impact, read on. 
What you’ll be doing: As a Senior Web Developer at JumpCloud, you’ll develop, maintain, and integrate our marketing website with other business systems, including our SaaS delivered product. You’ll mentor and influence Web Developers, enhancing and maintaining our existing WordPress website. Additionally, you’ll influence the technical direction of our website and make decisions about whether it can support our future scale and accelerating growth in collaboration with our Information Systems Architect and broader engineering organization. 
You’ll influence our growth initiatives, which have the potential for a huge impact on our success and your career. You can expect to work cross-functionally on most things you do, which represents a great opportunity to understand the breadth of our business as well as our technology.
We’re looking for...

  • A willingness to learn and embrace new technologies, languages, and frameworks
  • 7+ years of experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, WordPress, and PHP
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX for implementation in projects
  • Ability to analyze and remediate client side performance bottlenecks.
  • Understanding of SEO principles
  • Knowledge to fix (or diagnose) WordPress site
  • Building and maintaining internal tools to streamline the software development process and enhance productivity
  • Experience resolving cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience with responsive and mobile site development
  • Understanding of DevOps principles: sites, certs, automation, and networking
  • Strong testing ethic

Bonus points:

  • You’re picky about CSS.
  • Some experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch.
  • Some copywriting experience.
  • Some experience integrating with Salesforce, Netsuite, and other back-office systems.
  • Some experience with setting up nameservers, DNS records, and moving MX, TXT, CNAME and A records between hosting accounts.

Location

Our HQ is located between Denver and Boulder. Since we're remote first with employees in most U.S. states and 14 countries, we use the office as a hub to bring people together for team events and meetings.
