Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for coding, testing and analyzing application software; support existing products and business applications; working with the team lead to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions; and be responsible for designing and documenting technical requirements for products and business applications. 
 

Other responsibilities include:

Work closely with the other Development and QA team members.

Adhere to Worldpay SDLC and Development processes.

Follow Development coding standards.

Propose solutions and ideas to drive innovation and efficiency within Worldpay’s products and processes.

Troubleshoot various products and business applications already in production as needed.

Create unit tests for all code changes.

Participate in Agile meetings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  5+ years of experience designing and developing business or technical applications using Microsoft C# and ASP.NET.  .NET Core experience a plus.

  Experience with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding techniques.

  Experience building Web UIs using ASP.NET WebAPI and MVC, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.  ASP.NET WebForms experience a plus.

  Experience with Response Design and UI/JavaScript frameworks such as such as jQuery and Bootstrap.

  Experience implementing RESTful services, Web services, and Windows services.

  Experience with and understanding of JSON, WSDLs, WCF, XSD, XML, SOAP, Marshaling, Un-marshaling, Multi-threading, etc.

  SQL experience, including writing/optimizing stored procedures.

  DevExpress a plus.

  Experience with containerization and building cloud-based microservices a plus

  Basic understanding of Windows Server (2012R2 thru current) and IIS (8 thru current)

  Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming concepts.  Including SOLID principles, Continuous Integration, Unit Testing, and Mocking.

  Ability to work within a very collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Must be detail oriented.

  Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.

  Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the industry is required
