Based in our National Support Center in south Denver, Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer.

The Sr. Software Engineer will have a proven track record of successfully developing and designing software solutions to meet business and functional needs. This role will also be a leader in ensuring high quality and consistency among all development efforts.

• Building and developing software and systems to meet the company's needs
• Assessing the software and systems currently in place to find ways for improvement and efficiency
• Develop solutions with attention to system integration and feasibility
• Translate functional requirements into technical requirements
• Oversee code-bases and configuration to ensure adherence to best practices and consistency
• Communicate concepts and guidelines of solutions to development team
• Developing and writing code to deliver on solutions
• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
• Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts.
• Act as a point of escalation for Service Desk ticketing for advanced issue resolution.
• Work in a highly collaborative team environment with other application developers and the IT Support Desk to design solutions for business problems
• Performing all other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Tuff Shed management

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 4 years' software development experience using C#, Java, .NET, or JavaScript, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' working with Salesforce and/or ERP systems, preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental computer science concepts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of front-end and back-end development.
• Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods.
• Knowledge of SQL and Salesforce Apex is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge in constructing solid and efficient data models, with emphasis on hierarchies, parent to child relationships, and junctions.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with co-workers, end users, and technology providers.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines to meet required schedules.
• Ability to express technical terms in basic language, both verbally and written.
• Ability to learn and understand new software platforms as they are developed or launched.

 EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
