MeetMindful is looking for an experienced engineer to help lay the foundation of a fast-growing development team.

What You'll Do

At MeetMindful you will help provide solutions to some of the hardest technology problems in the online dating space: automated matchmaking, machine-learned user moderation and international scalability.

To support these initiatives, we need coders who understand the dangers of growing complexity in a code base and can intuitively architect systems to be maintainable and enjoyable to work in. You should also be able to teach that intuition to less experienced developers as you mentor them toward their potential.

Finally, despite being a small team we often juggle a number of product initiatives and technology efforts. Developers who desire ownership and enjoy becoming experts on subsystems are critical for building a team of strong early contributors who will be tasked with shaping the code base moving forward.

What You’ll Need

• Insatiable drive to solve problems and create things
• Expert understanding of web architectures and implementations
• Significant experience in Rails and modern client-side Javascript frameworks
• Drive to own mission critical systems and direct their development
• Design performant SQL queries against 100M+ row tables
• Ability to mentor and foster growth of teammates

Bonus Points If You Have

• Native iOS or Android development experience
• Experience configuring databases and web servers (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc)
• Math/Statistics/Machine Learning experience
• Experience with mobile dating and social apps
