What does a Sr Software Engineer - Full Stack do at CyberGRX?

At a base level, you will develop and deploy semantic cross-browser compatible and visually stunning end user experiences built with ReactJS, supported by Python or Go oriented back-end services. You will leverage your experience to establish best practices for web development and drive the team and the codebase to a higher level. You will also collaborate with architects in the development and implementation of our Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for cyber risk assessments.  An ideal candidate will not only have a passion to lead and collaborate, but also be hungry to assist others in the development of their own careers.

What a day in the life looks like:

• You will be a key contributor in the design and development of our web application architecture and our overall platform.  
• You will be joining a cross functional team composed of engineers focused on front-end (TypeScript/React/web client) technology, engineers focused on back-end (primarily microservice, Python), full stack engineers, and system test engineers.  
• You have an appreciation for unit and functional test strategies, test automation in general, and recognize that these are responsibilities shared across both Development and Test teams. 
• You will be a collaborative engineer with the ability to lead, working with DevOps, your engineering teammates, and test engineers to ensure our architectural vision remains coordinated, well-understood, and built-to-last.  
• You will be comfortable working as part of a distributed team with extensive remote-work experience (and may be full-time remote yourself), so understanding how to effectively maintain strong lines of communication is critical.  
• You have demonstrable prior experience building 24/7, high-availability B2B SaaS platforms.  
• You will be working with the latest technologies and comfortable learning new things.  

What you bring to the table:

• You will have a very strong understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript. 
• You will have a good understanding of Python 3.  
• You will be well versed in creating large scale React applications, the use of Functional Components and React Hooks.  
• You will have a good understanding of React apps that use Apollo/GraphQL.  
• You will have familiarity with front end build-chain tooling such as Babel and Webpack.  
• You will have familiarity with automated testing practices and tooling (Cypress, Jest, react-testing-library). 
• You will understand microservice architectures. 
• Familiarity with Docker based development, K8S, and Neo4J a strong plus.  
• Experience with or willingness to learn XP practices, including test driven development, pair programming, CI/CD, and lean coding practices.

Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 

Annual Bonus Potential: 10%
