Required Skills:

  • Apply software engineering principles to develop and automate tests that emulate real-life customer scenarios helping to drive quality into all aspects of products.

  • Partner with Development, Product Management, Customer Success and other teams across the organization to understand how customers are using the products. 

  • Engage, lead, motivate, recruit and develop technical team members.

  • Ability to think through complex product and system interactions to find gaps, failure modes and edge cases.

  • Ability to perform an assessment of risk to determine that the right things are being tested in the right environments.

  • Leverage holistic quality methods to achieve quality goals including modeling, simulation, evaluation, demonstrations, testing and others as appropriate.

  • Design, create, execute, track and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test suites.

  • Author comprehensive test plans, including test case traceability. 

  • Flexible, independent and self-motivated – known for taking initiative.

  • Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving and a balance of big picture thinking with an attention to the right details.

  • Proven innovator with a track record of implementing quality improvement plans

Valued Skills:

  • Designed and developed reliable automated tests that yield full coverage and execute within a CI/CD pipeline. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with JavaScript or Python and web driver libraries, utilizing standard patterns to develop complex methods with measurable outcomes. 

  • Proven innovator with a track record of implementing quality improvement plans

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $101,700 to $172,900. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
