Senior Software Engineer, Web

A Senior Web Software Engineer is responsible for helping to implement the front end software that allows users to experience our SaaS platform. In this role, you will work with cutting edge tools to develop code that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable. You’ll work on one or more of the areas in one of our full stack teams to create compelling experiences in the web.

Responsibilities

·       Participate in designing and building our web user interfaces.

·       Create modern responsive web mobile experiences.

·       Write client-side unit and functional tests

·       Consume and influence the development of REST APIs

·       Participate in design/code reviews

·       Document software designs and project tasks

·       Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications

·       Provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction to other team members

·       Work with team to leverage AWS to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions

·       Work with team members to improve development processes and practices

Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Arts, Computer Science or equivalent experience

·       4-6+ years experience in software development

Required Skills

Technical Skills

-        Modern object oriented scripting languages such as Javascript, Typescript, or equivalent

-        Applied Knowledge of Modern Server Frameworks such as Node, Spark, or Spring Boot

-        Applied Knowledge of Modern Web UI Frameworks such as Angular or React

-        Practical experience with Cloud-Native Development such as in AWS, Azure, or Google

-        Applied Knowledge of Microservices established best practices

-        Applied Knowledge of REST APIs established best practices

-        Practical experience of Design Principles and Patterns 

-        Practical experience with OO and/or Functional Programming

-        Applied Knowledge with unit testing

-        Applied Knowledge with Agile and at least one agile methodology such as SCRUM, XP, or SAFE
