We are looking for a software engineering technical lead for our Developer Relations team in Boulder, CO to support our growing Carbon Black Developer Network. Our Developer Relations team is dedicated to supporting our vital developer ecosystem which promotes integrations with Carbon Black’s security platform. We believe developers are our most loyal ambassadors, and our strong development organization helps to ensure their success.

What You’ll Do

As a Principal Software Engineer you will drive Carbon Black’s technical vision of empowering engineering organizations to integrate with Carbon Black products. You’ll be responsible for leading the design of technical solutions and providing technical oversight to the rest of the team. As an evangelist, you possess the passion to drive and inspire every developer on the team to build great things - whether offering guidance to our developer customers or participating in open source development activities. You'll also be the key influencer to internal product teams, ensuring new integrations meet API guidelines and shaping the vision of open integrations with a broad set of products to enhance the ecosystem.
You’ll also showcase your public speaking skills to become the true voice of our developer community, both externally and internally. There will be opportunities to present to customers, partners, and most importantly at Carbon Black’s annual (very successful) Developer Day conference.

What You’ll Bring
B.S. in Computer Science
10+ years engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership
Ability to give presentations and technical talks in front of large audiences
Expert in AWS, Python and Java programming, Javascript user interface development and RESTful API design
Fluent in open source platforms and technologies, including using GitHub for sharing open source code
Strong knowledge in continuous integration and testing platforms, automated build/deployment systems
Expert in Agile, Scrum, and Sprint methodologies
Security knowledge or customer engagement / interaction a plus
