The purpose of the Sr. Full Stack Developer role is to create performant, high quality, and maintainable code for our software and advocate for technical strategies to build solid products. 

As a Sr. Developer you will serve on projects where you will communicate with team members of all roles regarding architectural decisions, progress on implementation of a user story, providing relevant knowledge, etc. You will estimate the effort required to implement user stories and overall project size.

By participating in (and sometimes leading) project activities such as daily standup meetings, show & tell sessions, planning games, and the like you will stay well informed and be a key player in moving development projects forward. You will also coach and mentor other personnel in subject areas in which you have expertise and provide feedback to team members to assist in their personal growth.

What you'll need:

  • 6+ years software development experience working in one or more general purpose programming languages (examples may include Java, C#, C/C++, Objective C/Swift, JavaScript, Ruby, Go or PHP). 
  • Past experience with defining developer process, best practices, and serving as lead developer on projects. 
  • Recognized as a technical expert among peers and can speak into system wide architecture. 
  • Past experience working either web application development, mobile application development, or both. 
  • Proficiency communicating (in English) verbally and in written form, both one on one and in a group setting. 
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Kanban or similar incremental, team based methodology.

What will set you apart:

  • Past experience working in an XP environment that includes practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD), paired programming, refactoring and continuous integration. 
  • Proficiency in any of the following: PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL, Javascript, node.js, React.js, and Redux
  • Experience working in a typical LAMP stack
  • Experience with AWS technologies commonly found in a typical LAMP stack (Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, EC2, S3, etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field desired
