Job Description
As a front end developer at Modern, you’ll be working side by side with our designers and back end engineers to create best-in-industry progressive web apps that are setting the standard for usability and customer experience in the equipment industry.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the dev team to transform ideas and designs into well architected, reliable and user friendly implementations
Stay current with new web technologies and recommend ways to improve our product offerings
Coach and mentor other team members according to Angular 2+ / Typescript best practices
Perform updates and optimizations on existing code for security, new features and performance
Weigh the benefits versus maintainability risks and make recommendations regarding open source packages and plugins
Skills
Required
4+ years experience building responsive, single page web apps
Expert level Angular 2+ / JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with Angular Material UI framework
Experience with AngularJS
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS
Experience with unit testing
Experience with RESTful web services
Experience with package managers (npm, Yarn), upgrading and resolving package conflicts
Proficiency with progressive web app technologies such as service workers, push notifications, web sockets, responsive layouts, client-side routing
Proficiency with Git
A critical eye for quality, detail and aesthetic in web applications
Nice to have
Experience with Ruby on Rails (big plus)
Experience with Ionic - hybrid mobile app framework
