What you will be doing
This role is critical to the success of the Global Real-Time Payments team. We are starting from scratch, building and investing heavily in creating, defining, and delivering the RealNet product platform that will define the future of Real-Time Payments. You will build and develop a team of high-performance engineers that will build a best-in-class real-time payment platform. You will work closely with other FIS partners in product, infrastructure, security, compliance, and line of business to help achieve this goal.
Build and manage a team of top-tier engineers; full-stack, front/back-end, cloud native, micro-service design.
Participate in the process to define the architectural vision and work with the product group to establish the product roadmap from launch to scale; including defining long-term goals and strategies
Provide expert technical guidance to all functional areas, including strategy, operations, product, infrastructure, and security
Effectively align resources to achieve key business priorities, including appropriate scope, high quality and timely product releases
Work with the enterprise architectural team to implement security and architectural guidelines within the product
Build and scale an efficient and SaaS-based and agile end-to-end application infrastructure, with best practices in software delivery
Partner with FIS cloud services and security teams to ensure compliance with all FIS standards and best practices
What you bring
10+ years of relevant experience in leading SaaS-based, Cloud Native, Micro-service, agile design
Experience building highly scalable, fault-tolerant Java platforms
A solid portfolio of products that you directly worked on and delivered to market
A love for leading and developing engineering talent. A leader committed to overcoming obstacles to achieve commercial goals
Strong bias for action and willingness to get involved in every stage of the discovery process
High proficiency with cloud services (e.g.:AWS), modern JS frameworks (e.g.: React, Angular, NodeJS), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g.: SQL Server, Postgresql, Mysql, Redis, MongoDB), Object oriented development, native and/or hybrid mobile development, REST based microservice APIs, DevOps & CI/CD
Nice to Have
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Scale Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe)
Information security experience and/or certifications
Prior working experience in start-up environment or corporate innovation team
Track record of success in companies of various sizes and structures
Experience working in highly collaborative Agile environment
Fintech experience
