We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Denver, CO or Jersey City, NJ based team.As Senior DevOps Engineer you will play an integral role in supporting PointsBet's continued growth and success.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Passionate about DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering and modern infrastructure architecture and automation principles
• Ability to troubleshoot and utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to seek solutions and commercial resolutions
• Monitoring performance and systems health according to requirements, troubleshoot any issues and outages, review logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs
• Ensure security and access control through best practices and tools, monitor to identify and block any possible intrusions, work with development team to improve application and hosting environment security
• Identify and present the technical trade-offs and risks of different technical approaches in a meaningful way
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration and IT related tasks. Identify approaches and tools that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
• Provide technical guidance and support to users and teams, resolve incidents and issues according to priority
• Lead changes to application and infrastructure architectural designs and patterns
• Contribute and adhere to team objectives including automation practices, continuous integration and continuous delivery processes
• The successful candidate will have a great team attitude, strong desire to collaborate and contribute to our culture
• Engage with various stakeholders and internal executive leadership - excellent communication is required

SKILLS WE SEEK

• 5+ experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
• 5+ of experience with building and managing CI/CD pipelinesin Azure
• 5+ of experience in writing scripts using PowerShell, bash, and Python
• Experience with Kubernetes
• 3+ of experience with Docker
• 3+ years of experience with Git
• 5+ years of experience monitoring production applications
• Experience with cloud databases (SQL Server, Data Warehouse Solutions)
• Experience with setting up infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM Templates, etc.)
• Working knowledge with various operating systems and platforms, specifically Windows (2016/2019) and Debian
• Past experience working in a DevOps culture and experience working across all teams (QA, Ops, Dev, Security) for collaboration of shipping our software.
