Position Overview:
 

Ideal candidates will be excited about enabling the software engineer’s experience through platform development, automation, and the spreading of DevOps principles throughout the organization.  They will partner closely with the product engineering organization to understand and support their needs, architecture, and roadmap.  They will have high empathy for software engineers and a customer service mindset.  A passion for continuous learning and experimentation is necessary to thrive in our fast-paced environment. Additionally this role will be critical in designing and implementing the foundations for our current and future SaaS based platforms, including working with application architects to influence the design of the software.

Required Skills:

• Experience building automation pipelines as code using tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
• Experience as a software engineer, with experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, NodeJS, Ruby
• Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google) leveraging automation such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience automating the deployment of software using tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible, preferably in a mixed environment (Windows & Linux)
• Experience with version control systems including branch, merge and tagging strategies using Git or SVN
• Experience working in an Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, empathy, and a customer service-oriented mindset is critical to the success of this role

Valued Skills:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent work experience
• Experience as a developer
• Experience working in an Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environment
