Sr Dev Ops Engineer
The Application Engineering team focuses on supporting a variety of internal and external GHX products and toolsets, and the integrations that may exist between them. This is a cross-functional role with the opportunity to collaborate with all corners of GHX business. The role embraces creative problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Application/service Integration platform management and development, primarily using API's
- HTTP proxy management and development
- 3rd party application administration – SSO, Atlassian products, certificate management, etc
- On-call rotation with other team members
- Design and maintain application integrations and workflows
- Collaborate with development team for pertinent application/security requirements
- Maintain 3rd party vendor support relationships
Required Skills:
- Programming skills – Python
- Experience working with APIs
- Ability to troubleshoot java/python applications
- Experience in a production environment with SLAs focused on high availability
- Amazon Web Services
- Understanding of industry-standard database technologies
- Understanding of basic networking concepts
- Experience working with HTTP proxy/web servers
- Basic UNIX sysadmin skills
- Experience with LDAP
Preferred Skills:
- Information Security background
- Experience with API integration platforms
- Project management
- Excellent written communication skills
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience in UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems
- Prior experience with system integration/middleware
- Off-hours/On-call responsibilities (average 1 week per month)
- Strong technical skills; ability to learn and explain software systems to end-users
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ethical, enthusiastic, and results-driven attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other related field
