The Opportunity

DAT is looking for an excellent Software Test Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering team. We currently have a hybrid work model in place, two days a week in the office of one of our two locations: Denver, CO or Beaverton, OR.

Candidate profile

A Software Test Engineer is responsible for writing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to validate the level of quality expected of our Android products.  This person will analyze test results to validate the functionality of each release, and recommend corrective action. This requires a strong understanding of software testing principles and practices such as test case design, test planning, risk assessment, and exploratory testing.  This role also requires a strong collaboration with developers to help diagnose root causes of bugs, and product owners to help identify missing requirements.  

We expect all of our software test engineers to grow and contribute to automation,  and thus are required to understand the technology stack of the system under test and how to automate both integration and end-to-end tests.

  • Discover critical bugs and document reproducible steps
  • Design, Document, and Execute test cases
  • Effectively troubleshoot and diagnose test failures
  • Adapt, collaborate, and communicate effectively within Agile Scrum team
  • Employ Android Test Tools in daily test tasks
  • Build programming skills and contribute to automation

  • One year experience testing Android applications

Bonus Skills

  • Android Studio experience
  • Automation experience
  • API Testing using Postman
  • Amazon Web Services technology and tools
  • Build, Deploy, and Release of Android applications
  • Java or Kotlin experience

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $80,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
