Job Description

Mobile Solutions, Services Inc. is a fast-growing company looking to add a results-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to our expanding team! As a Quality Assurance Engineer, he/she will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

QA Engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and documenting corrective actions while following standard testing practices and procedures.

The QA Engineer role plays an important part in our product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. Additionally, you will be drafting or updating automated test suites. This the perfect position for someone who wants to expand their manual and automated testing skills on a complex product.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using automation/developer-tools
• SoapUI
• Selenium
• Visual Studio
• SQL
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for existing
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers)
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software
• Craft release notes
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven work experience in software development
• Proven work experience in a key quality assurance role
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development frameworks
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 2+ years of SaaS / Enterprise software / multi-tenant architecture experience preferred
• 2+ years using automated test suites
• Strong understanding of conditional and dynamic workflows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Driven and competitive with a passion for winning
• Proficient in software-development-management-tools: Jira, VersionOne, AtTask, etc.
