In small, agile teams, you will learn or enrich existing knowledge of how networks communicate and interact. You will gain insight into how applications are developed, deployed, and maintained in different environments. You will gain a deeper understanding of the Software Development LifeCycle. And most importantly, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills by exploring numerous new technologies and tools through our varied projects and assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Designing custom solutions for customers
- Developing and writing high-quality software that is easy to maintain and adheres to best practices
- Writing test cases for your software in various frameworks
- Maintaining and improving the software by addressing issues and introducing new features
Required Skills:
- Java, Python, and/or other object-oriented languages
- UNIX & Linux command line
- Strong programming fundamentals & algorithms
- Strong knowledge of coding best practices
- Git, Mercurial, or other VCS
- Presentation and communication skills (verbal & written)
Strongly Preferred Skills:
- Network programming (Cisco CCNA, CCIE, NPDEV, NPDESI)
- DevOps fundamentals including CD/automation tools, orchestration tools, virtualization tools
- QA fundamentals including CI tools, unit testing, & integration testing
- JavaScript & front-end development
- Embedded device development in C, C++, or other
