Software Engineer II - Full stack (Integrations)

Brandfolder by Smartsheet is looking for an accomplished and motivated Software Development Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and expand our impact as an established leader in Digital Asset Management. You will inspire the most recognizable brands in the world, including TripAdvisor and Slack and GettyImages clients, by helping manage petabytes of brand assets and building a product that makes company assets easily discoverable while surfacing strategic insights that help increase brand engagement. At our core, Brandfolder is brand-focused, crafts simple and intuitive experiences, and builds elegant and scalable solutions. Our business is built on finding great people and getting out of their way while they build and improve our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. You will help our platform scale while delivering industry-leading capabilities to our customers. Lastly, you will use your experience to build fast and scalable applications and the tools to support them to curate best practices with the team.
The integration team's mission is to create, maintain and support Brandfolders 1st and 3rd party integrations. This role is for a new team forming to solve a 1st party integration unlike Brandfolder has done before. So what are we looking for? Someone with a solid foundation in modern web applications and can own a given feature and execute through the full software lifecycle. Someone with solid experience building React.js apps that interact with RESTful APIs using a python backend.
You will report to our Manager of Software Engineering located in our Denver office. Base salary range for this role to be between $125,000 and $157,000. You will be eligible for a market competitive annual bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer.
You Will:
- Develop Python-based backend components that scale easily to accommodate rapid customer growth
- Develop services and software solutions using AWS or Google Cloud
- Experience consuming to RESTful APIs
- Experience with Webhooks
- Write clean and efficient code in Python based on product specifications and operational feasibility
- Develop reusable components used across our product (we use React, Redux, Typescript, and Sass)
- Become the expert for the team's SPA UI Architecture
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline implementations
- Participate in the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
- Ability collaborate and work within product, design, and development teams
You Have:
- 3+ years software development experience
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Experience building scalable back-end services
- Knowledge of Microservices in AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience automating CI/CD for a highly scalable system
- BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, equivalent industry experience, or equivalent educational experience
