Position Summary:

The Software Engineer II designs and develops software applications. He/she performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. The Engineer may mentor junior level Software Engineers. He/she collaborates with other functional groups to conduct software design reviews.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Designs, develops, and codes new application features
• Debugs, tests, and troubleshoots throughout the development processes
• Mentors junior level Software Engineers
• Modifies and codes software systems
• Analyzes potential problems and finds solutions to pressing issues

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

• Four (4) to six (6) years of relevant software development experience
• Intermediate experience with a relevant programming language (e.g., Java, Javascript, Groovy, etc.)
• Ability to work individually and collaboratively
• Ability to effectively absorb and apply peer feedback
• Effective problem solving and troubleshooting abilities 

Required Education & Certifications:

• B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

• Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $90,000 or more depending on experience
